At 210050 UTC NOV 2017 a merchant vessel at 06-18.3N 003-10.5E (Lagos anchorage) observed 2 small boats approach to a close proximity. POB of boats attempted to board using hooked ropes. Patrol boat informed on VHF and then disturbed boarding attempt and boats escaped. MV SAFE. Mariners are advised to exercise caution in this area.
