On the 16th March at 0800 UTC in position 04°09N 006°56E (SW of Fairway buoy 05NM off Bonny) a Merchant vessel was attacked by pirates in a speed boat. AST fired warning shots and carried out evasive manoeuvres, and the pirates aborted their attempt. The vessel is now safe.
