UKMTO has received a report of an incident 50NM southwest of Al Shuqaiq, Saudi Arabia.
The Master of a Merchant Vessel reported a significant explosion a short distance from the port side of the vessel. On inspection no damage was found, vessel and crew are reported safe and is continuing to its next port of call.
Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.
