Motor vessel reported as Hijacked has now been escorted into Port of DOUALA at 140254Z. Investigations ongoing but vessel is now safe.
Mariners are advised to exercise caution when transiting this area.
We strongly recommend that the seafaring community (all Shipping) transiting this area increase their vigilance and retain an enhanced local surveillance and apply BMP WA procedures.
